BOYD W. HENDRICKSON
CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Mr. Hendrickson, an executive with over 40 years of experience running large long-term care companies, was appointed CEO of Skilled Healthcare on April 1, 2002. Mr. Hendrickson joined Skilled Healthcare Group from Evergreen Healthcare, where he served as President and Chief Executive Officer.
From 1988 to 2000, Mr. Hendrickson served in various senior management roles, including President and Chief Operating Officer of Beverly Enterprises, the nation’s largest long-term healthcare company, where he also served on the Board of Directors. Mr. Hendrickson was also co-founder, President and Chief Operating Officer of Care Enterprises, and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Hallmark Health Services. He was named Chairman of Skilled Healthcare Group, Inc. in August of 2005.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Accounting from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
JOSE C. LYNCH
PRESIDENT AND CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Jose Lynch is a healthcare executive with more than 20 years of experience the long-term care industry. Jose’s career began as a nursing home administrator with Beverly Enterprises in 1992. He joined Skilled Healthcare in 2002 as President and Chief Operating Officer where he continues to oversee the long-term care operations of over 100 skilled nursing and assisted living facilities in eight states. Prior to joining Skilled Healthcare, Jose served as Senior Vice President of Operations and Corporate Officer of the Western Region for Mariner Post-Acute Network, Regional Vice President of Operations for the Western Region for Mariner Post-Acute Network, and Vice President of Operations at Country Villa Health Services.
In addition to his long-term care oversight for Skilled Healthcare, Jose was named President of Hallmark Rehabilitation, LLC, the ancillary rehabilitation business of Skilled Healthcare. He was appointed to the Skilled Healthcare Group, Inc. Board of Directors in December of 2005.
Mr. Lynch earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from California State University Fullerton. He previously served as Multi-Facility Chair for the California Association of Health Facilities and is a former member of their board of directors.
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Dev Ghose is an executive with over 20 years of experience in leadership, governance, and finance with three New York Stock Exchange listed public companies, and ten years with two Big Four public accounting firms in the US and the UK.
Prior to being appointed Executive Vice President and CFO for Skilled Healthcare, LLC in January of 2008, Dev was Managing Director International for Green Street Advisors, the premier independent research and consulting firm focused on publicly traded real estate securities in the US.
From 2004 to 2006, Dev served as the Executive VP and CFO of Shurgard Storage Centers, a $5 billion international real estate development and retail operating company. From 1986 to 2003, Dev served as part of the executive team at HCP, Inc. which invests primarily in real estate serving the healthcare industry, most recently as Senior Vice President, Finance and Treasurer.
Dev is a Certified Public Accountant in California as well as a Chartered Accountant in the UK. He attained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics from the University of Delhi in India and earned an Executive MBA from UCLA.
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, GENERAL COUNSEL, AND CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER
Mr. Rapp was appointed General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer of Skilled Healthcare, LLC in March of 2002. He has more than 28 years of experience in the healthcare and legal sectors. Mr. Rapp was previously the Managing Partner of the law firm of Rapp, Kiepen and Harman, and was Chief Financial Officer for Vintage Estates, both based in Pleasanton, California. His law practice centered on healthcare law and primarily focused on long-term care based on his prior experience as nursing home administrator and director of operations for a small nursing home chain.
Mr. Rapp’s involvement in the healthcare community includes past Chairman of the Board for the California Association of Health Facilities (CAHF), and past Board member for the American Health Care Association (AHCA). He is also the recipient of CAHF’s most esteemed Thomas Spindle Award for his contributions to the long-term care profession. He is currently a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and the Association of Corporate Counsel.
Mr. Rapp earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and his Juris Doctorate and Masters of Law in Taxation from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
SUSAN THOMAS WHITTLE
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF COMPLIANCE OFFICER
Ms. Whittle was appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer for Skilled Healthcare in March of 2006. Ms. Whittle’s extensive experience spanning 26 years in healthcare litigation includes analysis and resolution of general and regulatory health law matters, crisis and risk management, risk retention and transfer, bankruptcy and debt restructure, labor and employment, acquisitions and divestitures, and corporate reorganization. She began her legal career as a partner and shareholder with private law firms representing health care providers.
Ms. Whittle joined Mariner Health Care in Atlanta, Georgia in 1993 as Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary, and was most recently the Health Care Litigation Consultant for Mariner prior to joining Skilled Healthcare.
Ms. Whittle earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Texas at Austin and attained her Juris Doctorate from St. Mary’s University Law School in San Antonio, Texas.
CHRISTOPHER N. FELFE
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF FINANCE AND CHIEF ACCOUNTING OFFICER
Chris Felfe is a CPA with over 20 years of experience, including over 15 years in senior executive roles. Chris joined Skilled Healthcare in September of 2006 as Controller and was promoted to Senior Vice President of Finance in August of 2007.
Chris’s professional financial background includes Corporate Controller of Sybron Dental Specialties, a manufacturer of products for the dental profession, including the specialty markets of orthodontics, endodontics, and implantology; and Corporate Controller of Datum, a supplier of precise timing solutions for telecommunications and other applications. Prior to joining Datum, Chris worked for Ameriquest for nine years and Deloitte & Touche for three years.
Chris attained his BA degree in Economics in 1987 from UCLA. Chris is an active member of Financial Executives International.
