Skilled Healthcare Group is committed to complying with the laws and regulations that govern the provision of healthcare services and payment for those services. Consistent with the commitment, the Company has adopted a Code of Conduct designed to promote compliance with those laws and regulations and to help prevent fraud, waste and abuse.
Skilled Healthcare Group has also adopted a Compliance Program that is designed to promote ethical and legal behavior and to provide guidance for making appropriate decisions. The Code of Conduct explains the legal and ethical standards that govern its subsidiaries’ employees and contractors in fulfilling business responsibilities. The federal government and some states have adopted laws that provide assistance in combating fraud, waste and abuse. Some of these laws contain “whistleblower” provisions that protect employees who report illegal conduct to appropriate authorities. These laws may also allow employees to share in a percentage of any monetary recovery obtained by the government. A summary of these laws is provided to employees. Suspected illegal conduct should be reported to a member of management, the Compliance Hotline (800) 949-6607, or to the appropriate federal or state agency.
